Embark on a historical adventure to one of Italy's most well know excavated sites. This exclusive tour, enables our Guests to explore a Roman Resort known as Pompeii which was devasted by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. At the completion of this private half day tour, our Guests will have photos and memories that last a lifetime.
Overview:
Waiting on the pier where your ship's boats with tender, and at the time of your preference, will be your professional, English speaking, driver - guide. Holding a sign with your group's name, your driver - guide will escort you to your private, clean, late - model, waiting vehicle. Sit back and relax in the comfort of your private vehicle as you travel the approximate 45 minutes along the coastline of the Bay of Naples and in the shadows of Mount Vesuvius enroute to Pompeii.
Upon your arrival in excavated city of Pompeii, your driver - guide will give you a complete explaination of the once well known Roman Resort City home to the wealthy who moved to Pompeii to escape the turmoil in Rome. See the city's baths, wrestling arenas, theaters, forums, and mansions. See and admire the intracite mosaics and art. See the arcitecture and actual cobblestone streets designed to ensure a safe walk for pedestrians. Then see how life came to a stand still when 30 feet of volcanic ash and pumice covered the city in 79 AD. For your 2.5 hour exploration of Pompeii, you will be provided a detailed itinerary and information relating to the major sites. You also have the option of renting headsets or touring with a licensed Tour Guide.
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, including your thorough exploration of Pompeii. As you are driven back to your ship, The Guest Planners Team hopes your tour was filled with amazement and memories that will last a lifetime. Our driver - guides have extensive knowledge and expertise of the history, customs, and culture of Pompeii and Sorrento in addition to the layout of the streets. Unlike the restrictions for large coach buses, your driver - guide will do his or her best to drive you in your private vehicle to as close to Pompeii as allowed by law. Additionally, if you have any specific requests or you would prefer to focus your tour on a specific area, your driver - guide will do his or her best to accomodate your needs.

The tour can be customized to your preference. The order of the tour may be modified to maximize your time and enjoyment. While we will make every attempt to include all parts of the tour as listed above, there is the slight possibility that for reasons beyond our control, an aspect of the tour will need to be skipped, replaced, or modified. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes and clothing. Unfortunately it will be extremely difficult for our Guests needing a wheelchair to explore Pompeii. For your protection and convenience, payment must be made through credit card on The Guest Planners secure payment processing system. We will be happy to accept multiple credit cards for your group. An English speaking friendly driver - guide will be waiting for you as you exit your cruise ship at the time of your preference. Your driver - guide will be with you throughout your tour, safely driving you throughout Sorrento and Pompei in a late model, clean and comfortable vehicle. Prior to entering any site and during your drive, you will be enlightened by the history, facts, and details provided to you by your driver - guide.

Cancelation Policy and Terms and Conditions: If your cruise ship misses the port of call for any reason, you will receive a full refund. However, if you need to cancel, The Guest Planners policy is as follows:
14 days or more prior to your tour - No Penalty
8 to 13 days prior to your tour - 25% Penalty
4 to 7 days prior to your tour - 50% Penalty
3 or fewer days prior to your tour - 100% Penalty

LICENSED ENGLISH SPEAKING TOUR GUIDE As a result of Italian Law prohibiting driver - guides from entering sites with their Guests, you may choose to tour Pompeii with an officially licensed English Speaking Tour Guide. On this in depth tour, you will be met by your private tour guide upon your arrival in Pompeii. Your escorted excursion with licensed tour guide can be customized to the pace of your preference. Your tour guide will be with you throughout your two hour tour of Pompeii. Additional Options and Notes:
