Summary:
Embark on an adventure of history and beauty. This exclusive tour, enables our Guests to explore a Roman Resort  known as Pompeii which was devasted by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Our Guests are then able to admire the true beauty of the Amalfi Coast, traveling to towns and locations unreachable by large cruise ship buses. At the completion of this private full day tour, our Guests will have photos and memories that last a lifetime. 

                                                                                      Overview:
Waiting on the dock where your ship's boats tender, at the time of your preference, will be your professional, English speaking, driver - guide. Holding a sign with your group's name, your driver - guide will escort you to your private, clean, late - model, waiting vehicle. Sit back and relax in the comfort of your private vehicle as you travel the approximate 45 minutes along the Bay of Naples and in the shadows of Mount Vesuvius enroute to Pompeii.

Upon your arrival in excavated city of Pompeii, your driver - guide will give you a complete explaination of the once well known Roman Resort City home to the wealthy who moved to Pompeii to escape the turmoil in Rome. See the city's baths, wrestling arenas, theaters, forums, and mansions. See and admire the intracite mosaics and art. See the arcitecture and actual cobblestone streets designed to ensure a safe walk for pedestrians. Then see how life came to a stand still when 30 feet of volcanic ash and pumice covered the city in 79 AD.  For your two hour exploration of Pompeii, you will be provided a detailed itinerary and information relating to the major sites.  You also have the option of renting headsets or touring with a licensed Tour Guide. 

Following your enlightening time in Pompeii, you will be exposed to nature's beauty. Your drive begins along the Bay of Naples enroute to the Amalfi Coast and the seaside town of Positano. Known for the many cliffside white homes with domed roofs and the fishing boats that line the sea,  the picturesque seaside town of Positano will be yours to explore for appoximately 2 hours. The options are endless. You may choose to shop for art, visit designer boutiques, dine at a seaside restaurant, or simply listen as the waves come to shore. For an incredible lunch, consider a restaurant built into the cliffs where you pick the freshly grown vegetiables from the restaurant's garden. 

Your Amalfi Coast Drive continues throught the winding streets as you make your way to the artistic town of Sorrento. Be sure to have your camera ready as each twist and turn in the road brings a new spectacular view. Your driver - guide will make as many photostops as you wish, especially to be in awe of the dolomite cliffs which tower straight up from the sea and form Sorrento's Coastline. Upon your arrival in Sorrento, your driver - guide will give you a tour of the town where Romans found inspiration for their artistic trade. After the completion of your brief tour, your driver - guide will escort you to the main square where you will have approximately 1.5 hours to tour the many galleries, mingle with the locals and take in the beautiful sites and sounds.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, including your thorough exploration of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. As you are driven back to your ship, The Guest Planners Team hopes your tour was filled with amazement and memories that will last a lifetime. Our driver - guides have extensive knowledge and expertise of the history, customs, and culture of Pompeii, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast in addition to the layout of the streets. Unlike the restrictions for large coach buses, your driver - guide will do his or her best to drive you in your private vehicle to as close to the site as allowed by law. Additionally, if you have any specific requests or you would prefer to focus your tour on a specific area, your driver - guide will do his or her best to accomodate your needs.

The tour can be customized to your preference. The order of the tour may be modified to maximize your time and enjoyment. While we will make every attempt to include all parts of the tour as listed above, there is the slight possibility that for reasons beyond our control,  an aspect of the tour will need to be skipped, replaced, or modified. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes and clothing. Unfortunately it will be extremely difficult for our Guests needing a wheelchair to explore Pompeii. For your protection and convenience, payment must be made through credit card on The Guest Planners secure payment processing system. We will be happy to accept multiple credit cards for your group.
